Feeling disconnected from your body and yearning for a deeper sense of self?
Our supportive women’s empowerment 6-week group can help! Through guided exercises, guest speakers and open discussions, you’ll explore the power within you and rediscover the wisdom your body holds.
In a safe and encouraging space, you’ll learn to listen to your body’s signals, celebrate its strength, and connect with other people on a powerful journey of self-acceptance and empowerment.
Weekly themes and topics include:

Series facilitated by Amber Sperling MSW RSW PMH-C and Kimberly Berrio RN MSW (Cand.). Participants may have health benefits that would cover the cost of the series. Receipts will be provided.

Payment plan available:
$100 to finalize your spot by September 1 2024 with remaining balance due by September 24 2024.
Amber
Amber is dedicated to helping individuals thrive in their personal and professional lives. With expertise in trauma and perinatal mental health, she supports new mothers through challenging transitions. Having experienced motherhood while working in healthcare, Amber truly understands the struggles of new moms and has dedicated her private psychotherapy practice to supporting new moms heal from birth trauma, pregnancy / postpartum anxiety and identity processing through this difficult transition.
Amber holds joint honors degrees in Psychology and Criminology & Criminal Justice from Carleton University and a Master of Social Work from Wilfred Laurier University. Amber is registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers, Ontario Association of Social Workers, EMDR Canada, EMDRIA, and NADA.Outside of therapy, Amber volunteers with the NSM Regional Women and Children’s Network as co-chair of the regional Perinatal Mental Health Task Force and is a member of the RVH Foundation Cabinet. She enjoys family time, being by the lake, traveling, and coaching dragon boat teams.
Kim
With five years of healthcare experience and currently pursuing a Masters in Social Work, Kim is dedicated to supporting new mothers and their families. She has worked with frontline workers, postpartum mothers, and diverse populations in both inpatient and outpatient mental health programs. Kim values individuality, creating a safe, judgment-free space using an anti-oppressive approach.
Her interests include yoga, meditation, reading, cooking plant-based recipes, and enjoying the outdoors with her dog. Kim is passionate about the mind-body connection and its benefits for mental and physical health.
Kim holds certifications in Perinatal & Neonatal Nursing, Neonatal Resuscitation, Canadian Perinatal Mental Health, Gentle Persuasive Approach (GPA), and Crisis Intervention. She is also trained in EMDR and Birth Trauma. As an MSW intern, Kim aims to enhance personal experiences, set collaborative goals, and promote healthier minds through communication and movement.
