What is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)?

An IBCLC is a highly qualified breastfeeding specialist who possesses the highest level of expertise in lactation management. They undergo rigorous training, education, and examination to become certified. IBCLCs are equipped to provide evidence-based guidance and support to mothers and families on various aspects of breastfeeding, from prenatal education to postpartum care.

Breastfeeding is a beautiful and natural way to nourish your baby, but it can also present challenges that may leave new mothers feeling overwhelmed or uncertain. That’s where International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs) step in to provide invaluable lactation support services. These dedicated professionals are trained to assist mothers and families in navigating the complexities of breastfeeding, ensuring a positive and successful breastfeeding journey.
