This workshop focuses on aspects of critical situations that may leave caregivers feeling helpless. Goals include:

  • Increasing awareness of pre-cardiac arrest signs and understanding a young bodies normal operating state.
  • What to expect when calling 911 if a child requires critical treatment.
  • CPR, choking, allergic reactions, seizures and other sudden medical emergencies are covered.
  • You will leave with a practical understanding of the steps required to initiate life saving maneuvers such as abdominal thrusts and CPR in newborns and children.

Format includes instruction as well as hands on practice using mannequins. Throughout the workshop as well as at the end, you will have the opportunity to ask all your questions.
