Prenatal Breastfeeding Workshop

Are you pregnant and planning on breast or chest feeding? Have you tried breast or chest feeding a previous baby and faced some challenges? Are you adopting or welcoming your baby through surrogacy and hoping to induce lactation? Are you unsure and just looking for some information and support?

Please join Emma Needleman, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, in our upcoming workshop to learn all about how to get feeding off to the best start possible!  You will learn about the anatomy and physiology of the breast, the benefits to both baby and parent, how to recognise hunger cues and a proper latch, as well as various positions and answers to common challenges.

COVID-19 PROCEDURES:

  • Our studio is 700 sq ft boasting high ceiling (approx 20ft+) and open concept allowing excellent air flow
  • Programs are spaced far apart to allow you time to pack up and exit the studio and give you dedicate store shop time, if needed prior to next program arriving.
  • If you are unwell, experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, we will have a Zoom meeting virtual tune in so you don’t miss any class education, content and interaction.
  • Handwash & hand sanitizer stations available throughout the facility.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:

Hello! I’m Emma, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), early parenting educator, and former midwife with nearly two decades of experience supporting women/mother identified folx, children, and their families.  I help parents navigate the waters of new parenthood and the early years by fostering connection and secure attachment through up to date, evidence-based education and support.  I am thrilled to be returning to teaching classes at Serenity after a brief hiatus to get my health back on track.  Lactation consultations at Serenity are also available.
