Dawn Balfour is a registered Yoga Therapist. She has studied Yoga to help relieve back issues especially for new Moms as postural changes can create issues, which she experienced herself after the birth of her second child. Each class is specifically tailored to realign the spine to bring the body back to healthy postural alignment. The class works on abdominal strength to support the back as well as poses to open the chest and to relieve tension in the shoulders and neck.
Dawn has had more than 13 years of teaching Yoga. She studied in England with Ruth White Yoga and then graduated the 300hr Yoga teacher training at Georgian College in 2007. She is a certified Yoga Therapist (International Association of Yoga Therapists) and has additional Yoga teacher training in Prenatal Yoga and Yoga for Fertility and is currently undertaking her Doula certification. Time with baby is important and so is time for yourself. Dawn will also bring in affirmations to empower new Moms. Baby can be part of the class or can observe.
