Feeling a little lost after the newborn stage?
As the whirlwind of the first three months settles, many moms find themselves craving connection, guidance, and fresh ways to support their baby’s development. Visitors have slowed, partners are back at work, and your little one is suddenly more alert, active, and ready to explore the world. This stage is full of exciting changes—laughing, rolling, teething, trying solids—and it’s the perfect time to connect with other moms who get it.
Join us at Serenity Birth Studio in Barrie for six weeks of connection, education, and fun.
Our Ages & Stages: 3–6 Month Mom & Baby Class Series is designed to help you confidently navigate this next phase of motherhood. Each interactive class combines evidence-based education, meaningful discussion, and engaging activities for both you and your baby. You’ll learn how to support your baby’s developmental milestones, explore the introduction of solid foods, and enjoy hands-on play with a sensory “make & take” project to bring home.

Sarah Downey
Certified Birth Educator, Certified Doula
Sarah Downey (she/her) is a BEST Certified Birth Educator, BEST Certified Doula, and mom of three. She has completed doula, childbirth education and lactation training from organizations such as DONA, BEST and SMDHU. She holds a degree from the University of Toronto and a diploma from Sheridan College both in Theatre and Drama Studies. With a passion for supporting families during the perinatal period, Sarah has been teaching classes and leading groups at Serenity Birth Studio since 2015. Her expertise extends beyond the studio as she is a Professor in both the Early Childhood Education Department and School College Partnerships at Georgian College.
In addition to her academic qualifications, Sarah brings extensive practical experience to her work. Prior to her adult education career, she worked in the childcare sector, gaining invaluable insights into child development and family dynamics. This hands-on experience enriches her approach to perinatal education and doula support, ensuring that clients receive compassionate, knowledgeable care every step of the way.
Sarah is deeply committed to empowering parents with evidence-based information and compassionate support as they navigate the journey of pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood. Her warm demeanor, combined with her wealth of knowledge, makes her a trusted resource for expectant and new parents alike. Whether she’s leading a childbirth education class, providing doula support, or empowering new Mamas in our Mom & Baby programs, Sarah’s dedication to fostering confident, informed parenting shines through in all she does.
