Baby Sensory Classes at Serenity
Welcome to our Baby Sensory Play series, a thoughtfully designed class that engages your baby’s blossoming curiosity through safe, hands-on exploration. At this stage, your little one is becoming more mobile, trying new foods, and soaking in the world around them — and our class is here to support every exciting milestone.
Each week, you and your baby will explore new taste-safe sensory experiences using non-toxic, age-appropriate materials that stimulate your child’s senses, support fine and gross motor development, and encourage early social interaction. You’ll learn how to recreate many of our activities at home using simple household items — and in the final class, you’ll make your own sensory play item to take home and enjoy.

- THURSDAYS @ 1:30-2:30pm
Cost
$99 +HST (for a 6-week series)
$17 +HST (for a single class).
Single classes become available starting the day before class #1 if our series doesn’t sell out.
Allison

Hi I’m Allison, Mama of 2 girls and owner of Serenity Birth Studio & Babyshop. I have a passion for connecting with expecting, new and seasoned parents in our Community and can’t wait to engage with your and your little ones in our interactive sensory play series!
I love highlighting ways to engage with your infant as they develop during the 6-12m stage – from the use of everyday materials, to some fun & messy ones too, storytelling, songs, movement and more.
Outside of Serenity Birth Studio, I’m an active volunteer with Girl Guides of Canada leading the Sparks level (5-6 year olds), Mama to rescue dogs and spending time in nature.
Sarah Downey
Certified Birth Educator, Certified Doula
Sarah Downey (she/her) is a Postpartum Doula and mom of three. She has a degree from University of Toronto and diploma from Sheridan College and doula training from DONA. On top of being part of the Serenity Birth Studio teaching team, Sarah also is a professor at Georgian College in the ECE department with experience working in child care and co-founding a cloth diaper brand.
