Stephanie Pecman

My name is Stephanie Pecman. I am an RN, and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), mom of two and owner of You’re Simply the Breast Lactation & Feeding Support.

I have a passion for maternal and child health, holding both degrees in Child, Youth and Family Studies from The University of Guelph and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Laurentian University. Through the last almost nine years as a nurse, I have worked in postpartum and obstetrical care with my main focus being on labour and delivery.

I have always had an interest in breastfeeding and lactation, however, as I struggled with my own lactation and feeding journeys, my passion for this area has grown. As an IBCLC, I want to help support you on your feeding journey (whatever that may look like). My approach to care is very specific to the area in which you are struggling, providing hands-on support and teaching as well as follow-up. When I’m not working or taking care of the kids, you can find me at the cottage/camp, getting outdoors, fishing and hunting. I also have a love for crafts and sewing.

Simone Coulter

I have had the privilege of building my career as a Registered Nurse in KW over the last 15 years. I have experience working in both the Emergency Department (ED), and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Recently my family and I relocated to our hometown of Barrie Ontario.

My personal difficulties with breastfeeding fueled my interest in understanding lactation and led me to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).

My work as an RN, and IBCLC within the NICU/postpartum areas and various community settings has allowed me to gain experience assisting mothers with breastfeeding their babies, whether they be preterm, late preterm, singletons or multiples.

I have been practicing privately as an RN/IBCLC for the last 6 years and love being able to connect with families whether it is in the clinic, virtual or in the comfort of their own homes.

It is truly an honor to be welcomed by families during this special and sometimes difficult time in their lives. I look forward to meeting you and your family and helping YOU reach YOUR individual feeding goals!
